Flare (2023) is an ongoing photographic series of self-portraits and domestic interior photographs, documenting the private, intimate moments of flare-up. Prowse shares moments of autistic meltdown, shutdown and flare-up, which are largely unseen and stigmatised. Inspired by the work of Nan Goldin, Prowse hopes that making her own flare-ups visible might act as a tool to de-stigmatise.
